Dietary Planners – Permanent, Full-Time

White Oaks and Cedar Hollow Children’s Centres

Commencing: May 2025

Schedule: 7.5 hours/day, Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

We are currently recruiting for Dietary Planners to become part of our talented and committed Child Care teams. Enjoy your love of cooking and being part of a team—with no weekend or evening hours.

Qualifications:

• Safe Food Handling Certification
• Understanding of Canada’s Food Guide
• Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation for children from 18 months to 12 years of age
• Standard First Aid with CPR for Infant and Child – Level C
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (6 months current)

The person we are looking for:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work creatively within a set budget
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Position responsibilities:

• Plan well-balanced menus on a rotational basis
• Purchase food supplies to meet the needs of the menus
• Maintain accurate purchasing records
• Prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary restrictions as required
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
• Liaise with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC
• Work as part of a larger Children’s Centre Team, assistants and supply staff
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
