Dietary Planner - Supply

We are currently recruiting for Dietary Planners to become part of our talented and committed team to work with our Children’s Centres as supply staff covering as needed.

Monday through Friday
Various Children’s Centres throughout London
6.5 to 8 Hours per day, which includes a half hour unpaid break

Qualifications

• Safe Food Handling Certification
• Understanding of Canada’s Food Guide
• Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation for children from 18 months to 4 years of age preferred
• Standard First Aid with CPR for Infant and Child – Level C 
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (6 months current)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work creatively within a budget
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
• Ability to adapt to different kitchens and menu plans

Position responsibilities

• To follow menus and instructions provided by the regular Dietary Planner in their absence
• To be aware of children’s allergies and dietary restrictions and follow plans that have been shared
• To prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks
• To maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times following LCC and MLHU guidelines
• To work with and communicate with Program Coordinators and Child Centre educators on site
• To liaise with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC as needed
• To maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
