Taco Pie 1 lb lean ground beef 2/3 cup milk 14 oz can brown beans in tomato sauce 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese 1 1/4 oz envelope taco seasoning mix 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese 1 Tbsp cornmeal 1 cup shredded lettuce 2 cups biscuit mix 1 green onion 1/2 cup sour cream Place the oven rack in the centre position. Turn the oven on to 400 F. Grease the pie plate and sprinkle cornmeal on the bottom. Scramble fry ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Stir in the beans and taco seasoning. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Combine biscuit mix and milk in a bowl. Stir until it forms a ball. Knead dough on a lightly floured working surface. Roll out on waxed paper into a circle. Peel off the waxed paper. Press dough lightly to form a shell. Spoon the beef mixture into the shell. Bake in the oven for 12 minutes until the crust is golden.
