Montessori Preschool Program
Our popular Montessori Preschool Program is located in our Pond Mills Children's Centre, 819 Shelborne Street, London. Two Montessori trained teachers and an Early Childhood Educator Assistant create a very inviting and unique learning environment for approximately 24 junior and senior kindergarten age children.
What is Montessori Education?
The Montessori approach to learning was developed in the early 1900's in Italy by Dr Maria Montessori, a medical doctor, scientist and educator. Today the Montessori Method is an internationally recognized educational approach that takes advantage of the children's natural desire to learn.
The Montessori Preschool offers a variety of beautifully crafted learning materials within an orderly and attractive "prepared learning environment". Children are given individual presentations on the use of various materials and have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a variety of areas including Practical Life Skills, Language, Math, History, Geography, Botany, Art, Music and much more.

The program promotes the child's intellectual, social and physical development. Children become very self directed and focused in their learning, while developing confidence in themselves and their emerging skills. They also have fun!
