  • Today, we provide a wide variety of coordinated, high quality programs and services to meet the unique needs of over 4,000 children and their families.

October 1974 Date of Incorporation under the name of Westminster Day Nursery
Name changed to London Children's Connection Inc. February 1988
June 1976 Opening of Westminster Children’s Centre
Originally named Westminster Day Nursery
November 1978 Initiation of Community Home Child Care
February 1986 Initiation of the I’m Home Kids Phone
Originally named Kids Connection Warm Line
September 1986 Initiation of the School Age Program
Originally named London School Age Program
September 1986 Opening of Southdale Community Preschool
Originally named Sunshine Junction Community Preschool
Program closed December 2009
January 1989 Opening of Rick Hansen Children's Centre
July 1989 Initiation of the Summer School Age Programs
September 1991 Opening of Ashley Oaks Children's Centre
January 1992 Opening of Byron Somerset Children's Centre
September 1992 Opening of Jack Chambers Children's Centre
July 1993 North London Children's Centre joins London Children's Connection
September 1994 Opening of Bonaventure Meadows Children's Centre
May 1995 Pond Mills Children’s Centre joins London Children's Connection
Originally named Glen Cairn Children's Centre
October 1997 Initiation of the Middlesex Branch of Community Home Child Care
January 1998 Middlesex Children's Resource Centre joins London Children's Connection. Transferred to Lambton Kent Middlesex, Ontario Early Years Centre in July 2003
April 1998 Initiation of the I'm Home Program
June 2000 Received the Margaret Fletcher Program Award for Excellence
in Innovative Programming for Young Children in Ontario
April 2002 Opening of the Ontario Early Years Centre, London West
October 2004 London Children’s Connection’s 30th Anniversary
October 2006 Opening of Jean Vanier Children's Centre
October 2006 Opening of White Oaks Children's Centre
November 2007 Opening of the Neighbourhood Hub at Jean Vanier Elementary School
